Diaper Cake

I made a diaper cake for a friend's baby shower. She opted to not find out the gender, so it was a surprise when her baby boy was born.  For the diaper cake, I used all gender-neutral colors.  There are two ways of making the cake. One way is to roll and rubberband each diaper. The second [easier] way is to stack the diaper sideways, and wrap each tier with a rubberband. I did the easy way. =)

Inside you can put a baby bottle or a big bottle of baby shampoo for structural support.  The orange, yellow and green ribbon hide the rubberbands.

The "topper" is of rolled onesies. The "lollipops" are rolled wash cloths.  Then I rolled it in a spiral and put it in a zip lock bag. Cut the "lock" part straight across and tie with a rubberband, then a ribbon.
